Iron County Holds Bond Closing

Don Keim, Iron County Bond Counsel, and Jim Yoder, Rural Development Specialist, were on hand to explain the 2003 General Obligation Unlimited Tax Bond and collect the necessary signatures.  There are two notes that were issued.  The first was the voter millage of $2.837,230 and the second is a loan in the amount of $400,000 which will be repaid from General Fund.  County Treasurer, Marcia Cornelia, was designated as Bond Registrar.  After review of the documents by Prosecuting Atorney Joe Sartorelli, Chairperson Patti Peretto afffixed her signature to the Bonds, followed by Clerk Joan Luhtanen, Treasurer Cornelia, STS Representative John Archocosky, County Administrator Jan Huizing, and Prosecutor Sartorelli.  Clerk Luhtanen affixed the official Iron County Seal to the documents. 

Specialist Yoder ended the session with the statement: "Let's go fix the Courthouse." 

Miron Construction was issued the Official Notice to Proceed.
