Recreation Association of Iron County, Inc.

We are a nonprofit 501 ( c )3 organization. RAIC does not receive any tax funding.  All revenue comes from our annual golf fundraiser and donations from individuals, companies, and foundations. The original founders were Jim Cederna, Jim Quayle, Julie Melchiori, and Dennis Margoni.

In Iron River we offer three programs that all take place at the Windsor Center gym during the colder months.  In the summer pickleball is played outside at Nelson Field, as weather permits.  During inclement weather, we play inside at the Windsor Center.  We currently play 7-days a week with the same schedule all year.  Darren Mercier is the contact in Iron River.

In Crystal Falls we play pickleball at Forest Park Schools on Monday and Wednesday during the winter months. During summer, play is outside at Forest Park Schools.  Lorraine and Dell Siler are the contacts in Crystal Falls.

Our golf fundraiser is held the second Friday in July.  Chris Thomson is the tournament director this year.

Offering multiple FREE recreational opportunities in all seasons including:

• Pickleball at the Windsor Center, Nelson Field and Forest Park
• Men’s Bocce Ball Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-8pm
• Women’s Bocce Ball on Thursdays from 5-7pm
• Indoor Golf Center at the Windsor Center by appointment
